Edward is a Chartered Surveyor who has been a passionate real ale drinker for 40 years.Having fallen in love with the ethos and philosophy of micropubs he decided to open The Crab Pot in July 2017.
That ethos and philosophy of no background music, jukeboxes or gaming machines is followed at The Crab Pot but the main objective is to serve an ever changing range of cask real ales predominently sourced within a 45 mile radius which are kept in a temperature controlled cold room and served straight from the cask.
To compliment the ales are a large selection of real ciders, quality wine, craft lager, vodka and a local gin from Itchenor, Brilliant Gin, which are served with a selection of Fever Tree tonics.
Since opening in July 2017 The Crab Pot was voted Western Sussex CAMRA Pub of The Year 2018 after only 7 months and Runner up in Sussex CAMRA Pub of the Year 2018 after only 9 months.
